Slow and Low Retrospective Book

Chicago’s lowrider community remains rich and thriving. The project showcases a photography that documents twelve years of Slow & Low’s events and festivals that are deeply sentimental for members of the community.

This book uses a grid system that nodds the motion of driving and bounce of hydraulic systems. It also creates vignettes and utilizes the range of photography and various viewpoints, which results in a cinematic presentation.

Low Rider Culture is intrisically Latin and specifically Mexican. This is highlighted in the book with photography of traditional dance performances and tight knit family units.
